ADB Fielding a Mission to the FSM

PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): February 6, 1997 – Acting President Jacob Nena in a letter dated February 3 to Speaker Jack Fritz, informed the Speaker that the Asian Development Bank will be fielding a mission from February 8 to February 14, 1997.

The mission will be headed by Mr. Barend Frielink, Programs Officer and Economist, to work and agree with the Government on the pipeline of projects for 1997, 1998, and 1999, and to conduct a mid-term review of EMPAT.

While in Pohnpei, the mission hopes to meet with the Speaker and discuss the subject issues, but more importantly to hear his views or any concerns he may have.

According to the letter, Frielink proposes to pay his courtesy call on the Speaker on February 10, 1997 at 2:00 PM if that time is convenient with him.
