Ambassador Lippwe presents credentials to United Nation’s Secretary-General

October 24, 2022 (New York) – On United Nations Day, Ambassador Jeem Lippwe presented his credentials as the Permanent Representative of the Federated States of Micronesia to the United Nations. He was received by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, H.E. Antonio Guterres, at a small ceremony in New York.

Following the ceremony, the Ambassador and the Secretary-General had a brief discussion, serving as a follow-up to a bilateral meeting between President Panuelo and the Secretary-General earlier in the margins of the General Assembly. In the course of discussions, Ambassador Lippwe reiterated the invitation by President Panuelo to the Secretary-General to visit the Federated States of Micronesia and the North Pacific.

Ambassador Lippwe has been serving in various capacities at the Permanent Mission in New York since 1999. He is the sixth Permanent Representative of the Federated States of Micronesia since joining the United Nations in 1991.
