Board selects new college President

The College of Micronesia Board of Regents has selected Dr. Michael Tatum as the new President of the college.

Dr. Tatum earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin American Studies at Fresno State College. He earned his Masters of Arts in Education from University of Redlands and his Doctorate in Education from Brigham Young Univeristy.

Dr. Tatum currently holds the position of Chair of International Studies at Brigham Young University in Rexburg, Idaho. He is also the CEO/President of Partners of Americas, a humanitarian aid agency.

Previously, he was the Department Chair/Coordinator of the Administration of Justice Program at Eastern Arizona College where he also worked extensively with the Micronesian Project.

Dr. Tatum will be replacing Susan B. Moses who resigned from the position last December and has returned to full-time teaching at the college.
