French Scholarship to Study French and Public Administration in France
PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): June 25, 1997 –
The Department of External Affairs of the Federated States of
Micronesia announced that the Government of France is offering one
three-year scholarship to citizens of the FSM who may be interested
in pursuing studies in Public Administration in France.
The first year would be dedicated to intensive study of the French
language and the following tow years will be in Paris at the
Institute International d’Administration Publique (IIAP). At IIAP,
students have the option of signing up in one of the following areas
closely related to public administration; international relations,
territorial administration, and/or economics.
Language training commences in September of 1997. No prior
knowledge of the language is necessary, although some background may
help. It is also recommended that nominees have an Associate or
bachelor’s Degree or 1 or 2 years work experience in a related field.
