FSM Foreign Affairs Posts Sivas to Beijing as First Secretary

Beijing, China (FSM Information Service): March 4, 2008 – Mr. Sivas is a graduate of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies.

He joined the Department of Foreign Affairs in 2003 as a Foreign Service Officer II in the Asian Affairs section under the Division of Asia, Pacific, Africa and Multilateral Affairs (APAMA).

In 2006, Mr. Sivas was promoted to Deputy Assistant Secretary for Information and Research. In 2007, he was transferred back to the Asian Affairs section as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Asian Affairs to replace Mr. Carl D. Apis who was posted to Beijing to open the Embassy. Mr. Sivas is married to the former Ms. Mickina Micky and they have one son, Vinceky
