Nena is requesting funding for Fiscal Year 1999

PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): May 5, 1998 – President

for the operations of the National Government in FY 1999, in
a communication to Congress Speaker Jack Fritz.

The requested amount include an additional figure of $5,300
which increases the original appropriation from $10,200 to $15,000,
for the annual due for membership in the Asian Pacific Coconut
Community.

Another change is to correct an oversight involving the amount
originally requested for the year 2000 census which should be

Regarding funding for the Tokyo office, Nena said that the
yen dollar exchange rate is favorable and no additional funding
is anticipated at this time.
