FSM Office of SBOC Initiates New Internship Program

Palikir, Pohnpei (FSM Office of SBOC): June 9, 2010 – The FSM Office of Statistics, Budget & Economic Management, Overseas Development Assistance and Compact Management (S.B.O.C.) has initiated a new internship program aimed at recruiting highly talented FSM college students and familiarizing them with ongoing issues within the National Government. The office’s first intern, selected by the Division of Compact Management, is Midshipman Eugene Amor, who has just completed his junior year at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Midshipman Amor is a 2007 graduate of Xavier High School from U, Pohnpei, majoring in Economics at the USNA, under a full scholarship worth more than $275,000.
