Deputy Permanent Representative Ms. Universe Yamase Lawrence, First Secretary Kenneth Welles, and Second Secretary Martin Zvachula conducted a Zoom meeting with the Hofstra University of Lond Island, New York students, and Professor David Green to talk about the Federated States of Micronesia and its mission as a member of the United Nations.

Deputy Lawrence started the meeting by introducing herself and her role at the Mission along with thanking them for having the Mission speak to them about our country. First Secretary Welles followed and then Second Secretary Zvachula.

The topics of discussion range from issues that Mission is tackling that are important to the nation, such as Climate Change, the Ocean, the Small Island Developing States, the Sustainable Development Goal, and other matters like our relationship with the United States and the Compact.

The meeting was productive and the students were left with great appreciation for our country.
