 FSM Public Auditors to host APIPA 2006 ConferencePalikir, POHNPEI (FSM Public Auditors/FSM Information Service): June 13, 2006 – The Office of the Federated States of Micronesia Public Auditor announces that it will host the annual Public Auditors Conference in Pohnpei. The Seventeenth Annual Conference of the Association of Pacific Islands Public Auditors (APIPA) has been scheduled in Pohnpei from July 24 to July 28, 2006. According to the FSM Public Auditors office, each year the APIPA plans and sponsors a conference to promote educations, training, networking and professional development opportunities for Public Finance Employees and Auditors. The plenary section topics will be on “Transparency in the Public Sector” and “Ethical Concerns for Public Sector Employees”. Special educational tracks have been designed for basic finance, finance, audit and audit supervisors.
