PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): September 26,
1997 – Vice President Leo A. Falcam, on September 17, 1997,
designated Administrator for Procurement and Supply Namera Huston as
Acting Secretary of the Department of Finance beginning on September
17th, until the return of Secretary John Ehsa on or about September
30, 1997.
On September 18, the Vice President likewise designated the
Administrator of Commerce and Industry, Maderson K. Ramon, as Acting
Secretary for the Department of Resources and Development, from
September 19th until the return of Secretary Sebastian Anefal, on or
about September 28, 1997.
Falcam requested the Government departments to cooperate with the
designees during their acting period.
Ehsa, Anefal and Assistant Secretary of External Affairs Lorin
Robert are representing the FSM at the World Bank and International
Monetary Fund (IMF) meeting in Bangkok, Thailand.
