Independence Day Message

Independence Day

New York, 3 November 2021

As we mark this milestone in our nation-building journey, we pause to pay tribute to our leaders,
past and present, and all our citizens for their contribution.

There is much to be thankful for, and much more to look forward to – the 2030 Sustainable
Development Agenda, its 17 Sustainable Development Goals, and the SAMOA Pathway are our
roadmap to the opportunities and challenges before us. With collective hard work and
commitment, we can ensure that “our islands, remain a promised land” for future generations.

Happy 35th Independence Day and God Bless the Federated States of Micronesia
