JICA Project Formulation Advisor to Visit FSM States
PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): September 13,
1997 – FSM President Jacob Nena, on October 1 and 2, 1997,
informed Pohnpei Governor Del Pangelinan, Chuuk Governor Ansito
Walter, Yap Governor Vincent Figir, and Kosrae Governor Moses
Mackwelung, respectively, that the Government of Japan will be
dispatching Dr. Atsuyoshi Toda, JICA Project Formulation Advisor, to
the FSM to conduct research and formulate priority direction for
future projects under JICA’s assistance scheme.
Toda is expected to arrive in the FSM on October 18, 1997, and
will conduct research until November 16, 1997.
Toda will call upon state officials whom he has identified in each
state. President Nena requested the support of each governor to
facilitate Mr. Toda’s visit.
The Department of External Affairs will be the contact point on his visit.
