July 12 Proclaimed Micronesia Law Day

PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): May 21, 1997 – On
May 5, 1997, the then Acting President Jacob Nena issued a proclamation
declaring July 12, 1997, as Micronesian Law Day, and urging all citizens,
residents and governments to celebrate it in a way that promotes respect
for the law.

July 12, 1997, is not a legal holiday, as it was inadvertently reported.
May this straighten the record. It is not a legal holiday.

In this connection, a final debate between the winners of the State
competitions will be held in the State of Kosrae.
