Matson To Increase Service To FSM

HONOLULU, Hawai’i (Pacific Islands Report): July 1, 2005 – Matson Navigation Company says it plans to increase the frequency of its service from the U.S. mainland to the Federated States of Micronesia this month.

The shipping company said it plans to bring cargo vessels to Chuuk and Pohnpei every 21 days and to Kosrae every 42 days.

The company said the new service, is in response to calls for increased service, will begin by the middle of this month.
