More Congressional Acts signed into law

Palikir, POHNPEI (FSM Information Service): March 18, 2008 – President Mori has signed in to law four congressional measures which was passed by the 15th Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia during its 3rd Regular Session in February 2008.

Congressional Act 15-29, introduced by Senator Moses, to require that the FSM President shall appoint Consul General and Deputy Chiefs of Mission of the various Embassies and diplomatic missions with the advice and consent of the FSM Congress became Public Law No. 15-23 without President’s signature.

Congressional Act No. 15-36, introduced by Senator Figir became Public Law No. 15-24, providing scholarships for certain aviation related post-secondary programs leading to commercial licenses and certification.

Congressional Act No. 15-31, appropriating $366,255 from the 20% restricted funds previously allocated for Health and Education in Chuuk State for Public Projects in Chuuk State, introduced by Senator Kansou becomes Public Law No. 15-25.

And Congressional Act No. 15-37, appropriating an additional $2,440,112 from the General Fund for fiscal year ending September 30, 2008 became Public Law No. 15-26.
