 National Department of Education begins public consultation on Student Learning OutputsPalikir, Pohnpei (FSM Information Services): February 11, 2010 – The National Department of Education has produced draft National Curriculum Standards and Benchmarks: Student Learning Outcomes for English Language Arts. These Student Learning Outcomes were developed by a team of specialists from all State Departments of Education at a workshop conducted by the National Department of Education in September of 2009. The Student Learning Outcomes have been placed on the website of the National Department of Education (www.fsmed.fm) and members of the public are invited to review and send comments to the Secretary of Education at Casiano.Shoniber@fsmed.fm. Comments from the public will be evaluated and either further explanation or changes to the draft National Curriculum Standards and Benchmarks will be made.
