 National Oceanic Resource Management Authority elects new Executive DirectorPalikir, Pohnpei (FSM Information Services): January 28, 2011 – During its first annual meeting on January 26, 2011, the Board of Directors of the National Oceanic Resource Management Authority selected among candidates, Mr. Patrick Mackenzie as the new executive director for NORMA. Mr. Mackenzie held previous posts with the state and national government of FSM, including state director of treasury, FSM Supreme Court director of administration, FSM Budget Director and Deputy Secretary of Economic Affairs – now Department of Resources and Development. Mackenzie also served on several boards including NORMA, at the time known as Micronesia Maritime Authority. Currently Mackenzie is Vice President for the Bank of FSM, a post he has held since 2004. Patrick Mackenzie will officially take on the new post as executive director of NORMA effective February 14, 2011.
