Nena Signs PL No. 10-26

PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): July 28, 1997 –
FSM President Jacob Nena, on July 21, 1997, informed Congress Speaker
Jack Fritz that he approved Congressional Act No. 10-26 and
designating it Public Law No. 10-26, which appropriates the total of
$800,000, to purchase land for construction of National Government
office building in each of the four States.

The amount appropriated is apportioned as $250,000, for Pohnpei
State; $200,000 for Yap State; $200,000 for Chuuk State; and $150,000
for the State of Kosrae.

The law designated the President as allottee of the monies
appropriated, and that the funds appropriated shall remain available
until September 30, 2000.
