New French ambassador to present credentials

POHNPEI, Palikir (FSM Information Service): July 2000 – The French Ambassador-designate to the Federated States of Micronesia will be presenting his credentials July 18 in Palikir.

Jean-Pierre Vidon will present his credentials to President Leo A. Falcam during a credentials ceremony in the President’s Conference Room at 10 a.m.

Among those attending will be members of the President’s Cabinet.

The French Republic established diplomatic relations with the Federated States of Micronesia February 5, 1993.

France is located in Western Europe and has a population of about 59 million people. The country is 212,918 square miles.
