New post for Japanese official to FSM

POHNPEI, Palikir (FSM Information Service): May 2000 – The Japanese Charge d’Affaires ad interim to the Federated States of Micronesia has been transferred to Thailand.

Takeo Yoshikawa announced his transfer to the new post in a communication to FSM Congress Speaker Jack Fritz, May 1.

In his letter Takeo Yoshikawa wrote, “I have had the honor and tremendous pleasure of working with you (Fritz) and your Government, therefore it is with great regret that I bid farewell to you and your beautiful country.”

The Charge d’Affaires ad interim was scheduled to have departed May 8, according to the communication.
