Noket to Handle Affairs of Government for Nena

PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): April 25, 1997
– FSM Acting President Jacob Nena, informed all department, office
and agency heads of the FSM National Government that he has
designated Attorney General Camillo Noket to handle all routine
matters of the Office of the President, beginning April 23, 1997.

Nena left for Kosrae, his home state where he and Governor Carl
Guiterrez of Guam will visit Walung, a remote village on the Western
side of Kosrae Island, accessible only by boat. Nena and Guiterrez
will return Pohnpei and proceed directly to Ant Atoll, a group of
atolls about eight miles South-West of Pohnpei which is owned by the
Nanpei family.

Governor Guiterrez’s visit to the FSM is in response to an earlier
invitation by the Acting President, according to Josiah Waguk,
Special Assistant to the Vice President.
