Nomination of Deputy Chief of Mission to the FSM Embassy in Fiji Announced

Palikir, Pohnpei (FSM Information Services): May 1, 2009 – President Mori has nominated Mr. Stan D. Kensof from Yap State to serve as Deputy Chief of Mission to the FSM Embassy in Fiji. This nomination will be submitted to the 16th FSM Congress during its upcoming session in May.

Mr. Kensof has a background in public service from working for the Yap State Budget Office in 1980 to 1984 and as the Transportation Officer for the State Transportation Office from 1984-1987. He was also a Yap State Senator from 1989-2007. He is a graduate of Grand Valley State University, Allendale, Michigan with a Bachelor Degree in Public Administration and has a specialty in Labor Relations.

President Mori believes that Mr. Kensof is well-suited for the position in Fiji and with the necessary resolution sent up to Congress, is looking for a favorable consideration of this nomination.
