Pacific Judicial Council Executive Committee Meeting

Palikir, POHNPEI (FSM Supreme Court): March 23, 2007 – The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Federated States of Micronesia, the Honorable Andon L. Amaraich attended the Pacific Judicial Council (PJC) Executive Committee meeting held in Kosrae.

The meeting was held February 26 to March 1, 2007. The meeting was an annual event of the Executive Committee of the Pacific Judicial Council, which the Supreme Court of the FSM is a member.

This annual meeting of PJC is rotated annually within the Pacific Islands member states and is attended by Chief Justices and other Justices and Judges of the Island of Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Republic of Palau, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, American Samoa, the Supreme Court of the Federated States of Micronesia and the State Courts of the Federated States of Micronesia.

The topics of the meeting were “purposes and responsibilities of courts and court community communication”.
