Significant turn-over in FSM Congress

PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Congress): March 10, 2003
The Office of the National Election Director has released the official results of the national elections of 2003, to seat the Thirteenth Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia.

The results are compilations of all polling places within the FSM and those specifically designated outside of the nation. The results show five newcomers to the national legislative body – three from Chuuk, one from Kosrae and one from Pohnpei.

Certified and signed on March 10 2003, the official results of the March 04 2003 National Elections are:

Chuuk State

At-large: Redley Killion
District 1: Henry Asugar;
District 2: Roosevelt Kansou;
District 3: Sabino S. Asor;
District 4: Tiwiter Aritos;
District 5: Moses Nelson.

Kosrae State

At-large: Alik L. Alik;
Two-year: Claude H. Phillip.

Pohnpei State

At-large: Resio S. Moses;
District 1: Dohsis S. Halbert;
District 2: Dion G. Neth;
District 3: Peter M. Christian.

Yap State

At-large: Joseph J. Urusemal;
Two-year: Isaac Figir.
