Social security extents of its allotment program

KOLONIA, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): October 21, 2004 – The Federated States of Micronesia Social Security Administration announces the extension of its allotment program to the following financial institutions and Government Agencies:

  • Credit Unions – All FSM States

  • Housing Authority – All FSM States

  • Utility Corporations – All FSM States

  • FSM Telecommunications

  • FSM National Government Health Insurance Plan

  • Life Insurance Company within the FSM

  • USDA Rural Development – Yap and Chuuk

Before the implementation of the Allotment Program, we would like to receive “obligation letters” from the above institutions acknowledging that should there be any overpayment of allotments made to them, the said institution shall make appropriate refunds to the FSMSSA. Overpayment of allotments, at times happen, due to ineligibility of recipients – death, remarriage, calculation errors, etc

Furthermore, the FSMSSA benefits shall not be subject to execution, attachment or garnishment, and shall not be assignable.

The procedure for, all FSMSSA recipients who wish to participate in the allotment program shall be present at any FSMSSA Branch Offices to execute the allotment application;

Must bring Identification Card with picture or Social Security ID Card;

All applications must be approved by the Administration.

The FSMSSA continues to provide services to its recipients in the most convenient way possible. We need a collaboration effort from everyone involved. Thank you for your continuous support of the program.
