Third FSM Constitutional Convention, Day 15

POHNPEI, Palikir (FSM Information Service): November 26, 2001
The first measures approved by the Convention after its
organization November 12, were three Resolutions, expressing gratitude and
appreciation to the FSM President, H.E. Leo A. Falcam, and the FSM Vice
President Redley Killion, (CD.R. No. 01-02); to Speaker Jack Fritz and
Members of the 12th FSM Congress, (D.R. No. 01-3), and to the FSM Supreme
Court Chief Justice Andon L. Amaraich, (D.R. No. 01-3), for making their
staff, offices and equipment available for use of the Convention. The three
resolutions were introduced by Chuuk Delegate Wesley Simina on Friday,
November 23, and assigned to the Committee of the Whole (COW). This morning
the COW reported and recommended them for adoption, which the Convention
did.

Taking into consideration the need for Committees to finish their business
which are usually earlier than the plenary in the mornings, Floor Leader
Naiten O. Phillip of Pohnpei moved for recess until 11:00 a.m. The
Convention then recessed at 12:07 p.m.
