PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): May 7, 1997 –
FSM Acting President Jacob Nena informed Pohnpei Governor Del
Pangelinan that a turn-over ceremony for the new Australian built
surveillance vessel will take place on May 31, 1997, in Perth,
Australia and the Government of Australia has kindly extended an
invitation to the Government of the FSM to attend the event,
according to an April 17, 1997 letter to the Governor (of) Pohnpei,
Governor Del Pangelinan.
Nena invited Governor Pangelinan to join, if desired, at his own
expense, the FSM Delegation which will be composed of the President,
a member of Congress, Secretary of External Affairs, Attorney
General, and a security person.
