2nd International Youth Symposium for Biodiversity

Palikir, POHNPEI (FSM Information Service): August 22, 2008 – The 2nd International Youth Symposium for Biodiversity is being planned for Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on July 5-8, 2008. Applications are invited from students between the ages of 12 to 19 and a teacher who are involved in a biodiversity (agro-biodiversity) project either within or outside the school. Closing date for submission of applications is December 31st, 2008.

How to apply:

  1. A group consisting of three students and a teacher must submit a brief (350 words) essay about an agro-biodiversity project/activity that the students are involved in. Also state how the students intend to use the knowledge gained at the symposium upon their return.

  2. State clearly the names, ages of the students and addresses with e-mail and telephone contacts.
