Tropical Storm Brewing Near ChuukHAGÅTÑA, Guam (Pacific Daily News): March 14, 2005 – Tropical Depression 02W has developed near the islands of Fais, Ulithi and Yap in the Federated States of Micronesia south of Guam. 02W last night was moving west-northwest at 15 miles per hour with maximum sustained winds of 30 miles per hour. Gusty winds and heavy rain showers are expected on Guam. Although Guam will experience heavy downpour and some gusts, the tropical depression is expected to pass well south of the Mariana Islands by today. 02W was centered around 375 miles south-southeast of Guam at 8 p.m. yesterday.
