New attorney joins FSM Department of Justice

POHNPEI, Palikir (FSM Information Service): June 2000 – An attorney with more than nine years of experience with the U.S. Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation has joined the ranks of the FSM Department of Justice.

Robert Anthony Welch has joined the department as a staff attorney after serving as a senior attorney in the Litigation Section of the U.S. FDIC since 1990. Prior to working with the FDIC, he served as a trial attorney with the United States Navy, and attorney-advisor with the U.S. Department of Interior, and a staff attorney with the West Virginia Workers’ Compensation Fund.

He is a graduate of West Virginia University Law Center.
