Kosrae Poultry National Project as a Revolving Fund

PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): March 20, 1998 – President Jacob Nena, on
March 13th, transmitted to Congress Speaker a proposed amendment to PL No. 8-75 as
amended, to specify that the $35,000 previously appropriated for Kosrae Poultry National
Project be kept as a revolving fund instead.

“I believe the appropriate mechanism to obtain maximum mileage out
of the funds is to keep it in a revolving fund for an ongoing poultry project” Nena
told Fritz. The law designated the President as the allottee of the fund.

Nena requested congress for a favorable action on the bill.
