Vice President Falcam Off To Palau

PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): June 18, 1997 –
Vice President Leo A. Falcam departed Pohnpei on June 17, 1997, on
an official trip to the Republic of Palau.

Falcam arrives Palau today, June 18, 1997, and will be returning
to Pohnpei on Friday, June 20, 1997.

Falcam is paying an official visit on the President of Palau to
discuss things of mutual interest to both governments. This
administration is also planning to pay the same type of visit to the
government of the Republic of Marshall Islands. “It is important
that our neighbor governments feel we are mindful of them,” said the
Vice President.

At the same time, the Mobil Games Officials have invited the
President and the Vice President to attend the Mobil Games in Palau.
A baseball team from Pohnpei is participating in the Game in Palau
this week. The Vice Presidents attending on behalf of the President
and the Government of the FSM.
