The Government of the Republic of Estonia and the Government of the Federated States of Micronesia, 

With the purpose to promote mutual understanding and strengthen the friendship and co-operation among their two peoples, 

On the basis of the principles and purposes of the Charter of the United Nations and international law, particularly on the respect for and promotion of international peace and security, equality among States, national sovereignty, independence, international treaties, territorial integrity and non-interference in the internal affairs of States, 

Have decided to establish diplomatic relations in accordance with the principles of the Charter of the United Nations and provisions of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of April 18, 1961, as of the date of the signing of this Joint Communique.
