Executive Branch Transmits Nominations to Congress

Palikir, Pohnpei (FSM Information Services): September 22, 2009 – Now that the Second Regular Session of the 16th FSM Congress is underway, President Mori has transmitted several nominations up to Congress for their approval. These nominations are for the following positions:

  • Mr. Fabian Nimea to be a member of the Joint Trust Fund Committee

  • Mr. Aren Palik to be a member of the Joint Trust Fund Committee

  • Mr. Akilino Susaia to serve as the FSM Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China

  • Mr. Stan Kensof to be the Deputy Chief of Mission to Fiji

  • Mr. Resty Shotaro to be the National Government representative to the Telecom Board

  • Mr. Marcus Samo to be the Chuuk State representative to the MiCare Board

  • Mr. Henry Robert to the the National Election Commissioner for Kosrae State

  • Mr. Kandhi Elieisar to be the National Government representative to NORMA Board

  • Mr. Joseph Habuchmai to serve on the FSM Banking and Insurance Commission Board

  • Mr. William Hawley to be re-nominated as the National Government representative to the Petro Corp Board

  • Mr. Salpasr Tilfas to be the Kosrae State representative to the MiCare Board

The President has yet to decide on and/or transmit his nominations for the COM-FSM Board of Regents from Pohnpei, the MiCare Board member from Yap, and the COM Land Grant Board member representing the National Government.
