 FSM Participates in 2nd Overseas Investment FairBeijing, China (FSM Embassy, Beijing): November 18, 2010 – In efforts to promote the Federated States of Micronesia as an excellent investment destination, the FSM Embassy participated in the 2nd Overseas Investment Fair. The fair was organized by the National Development and Reform Commission and was co-hosted by the Overseas Development and Planning Association (CIODPA) and the China Development Bank. The fair attracted many representatives from government, multinational companies and international organizations and financial institutions from abroad in hopes of persuading Chinese investors to invest overseas. In collaboration with the Pacific Island’s Trade Office (PIFTO) in Beijing, the FSM Embassy along with the rest of the Pacific Missions in Beijing participated in the two day investment fair. The FSM’s promotional efforts were based on a list of investment opportunities circulated by the Mori Administration in the US and other countries which identified specific investment projects in all four states.
