Limited Time for FSM Absentee Ballot Applications

Palikir, Pohnpei (FSM Information Services): October 11, 2010 – The General Election for members of the FSM Congress will be held on March 8, 2011. FSM citizens who reside out-of-state or overseas may request to vote by mail by submitting an “Application to Vote by Absentee Ballot.” The application will need to be mailed or delivered to the FSM National Election Office of the citizen’s state or to their nearest FSM Embassy or Consulate Office. These applications must be received by January 26, 2011.

The Application Form can be downloaded from the FSM Public Information Office website at www.fsmpio.fm. The form itself offers additional information regarding cut-off dates for absentee ballots for special polling place, absentee ballots prior to traveling, absentee ballots for voting at another polling place, and absentee ballots for mobile polling place.
