Palikir, Pohnpei (FSM Information Services): March 6, 2009 – On March 4th, 2009, the Office of the National Election Director released unofficial results for the March 3rd Congressional Races. Please note, these numbers will change as not all of the off-island ballots are included in these results.

Chuuk State:

Election District #1 (Mortlocks)

  1. Peter Sitan = 1,911 votes

  2. Able M. Kristoph = 1,372 votes

  3. Tender Haser Rickysach = 1,373 votes

Election District #2 (Northern Namoneas)

  1. Tesime Kofot = 2,387 votes

  2. Roger Mori = 2,887 votes

Election District #3 (Southern Namoneas)

  1. Joe N. Suka = 2,568 votes

  2. Ignacio Stephen = 1,921 votes

  3. Anucha Styephan Hallers = 1,946 votes

Election District #4 (Faichuuk)

  1. Tiwiter Aritos = 3,866 votes

  2. Esly K Kanto = 3,252 votes

Election District #5 (Northwest)

  1. Moses A. Nelson = 563 votes

  2. Lambert N. Lokopwe = 485 votes

  3. Masachiro Christlib = 125 votes

  4. Tony Otto = 547 votes

Pohnpei State:

Election District #1

  1. Dohsis Halbert = 2876 votes

Election District #2

  1. Dion G. Neth = 2,896 votes

  2. Berny Martin = 2,838 votes

Election District #3

  1. Fredrico Primo = 2,737 votes

Kosrae State: (Single Member District)

  1. Paliknoa K. Welly = 1,811 votes

Yap State: (Single Member District)

  1. Isaac V. Figir = 2,070 votes

  2. Fidelis F. Thiyer = 642 votes

The National Election Office will be providing the final results sometime mid-next week.
