State, national financial leaders meet

POHNPEI, Palikir (FSM Information Service): August 2000 – The nation’s top financial officers met to discuss a variety of issues in their annual conference today in Palikir, Pohnpei.

Delegates comprised of budget officers, planners, and administrative officers from financial agencies from all four states and the FSM national government held their 2000 Annual Finance and Budget Conference where they heard briefings concerning the Compact negotiations, the status of the performance based budget being implemented throughout the nation, and other financial matters.

Klasdin Lihpai, director of Pohnpei Department of Treasury and Administration is chairing the conference, which will continue until August 24.
