Congress Repasses Vetoed BillPALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): February 2000 – The FSM Congress, on January 3 1, repassed the capital improvement project bill President Lee A. Falcam vetoed in October. The bill appropriates $6,750,000 for public projects in the four FSM States. Of the $3 million going to Chuuk State, state projects will receive $ 1 00,000; election districts Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 will receive $650,000 each; and election district No. 5 will receive 300,000. Of the $2 million going to Pohnpei State, election district No. I win receive $750,000 election district No. 2 will receive $650,000; and election district No. 3 will receive $600,000. Furthermore, Yap State will receive $1 million, and Kosrae State will receive $750,000. The Executive Director of Chuuk State Commission on Improvement Projects or his designee will be the allottee of the $3 million going to Chuuk State. The President or his designee will be the allottee for the funds appropriated for Pohnpei Kosrae and Yap states, according to the law.
