Continental Micronesia Offer Review of FY-1998 Schedule

PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): December 3,
1997
– Continental Micronesia has developed tentative flight
schedule options to serve the aviation needs of the FSM through the
1998 fiscal year and is willing to review these plans with the FSM
Government officials, according to a November 25, 1997 letter from
Senior Vice President for Customer Service and Sales Curt Bourg to
FSM President Jacob Nena.

Bourg is recommending that the meeting is held on December 10 or
11, either on Guam or in Pohnpei. If the FSM President prefers Guam,
Bourg said Continental would provide transportation for FSM officials
or Continental management team will travel to Pohnpei if it is held
on Pohnpei.

President Nena and his advisors met in his Cabinet room and
discuss(ed) the need to have both the Executive and Legislative
Branch represented at the proposed meeting which would require a more
convenient date. The initially suggested dates of December 10 or 11th
seem inconvenient as some Executive and Congress officials will still
be traveling at that time.

The matter is being reviewed and a response will be forwarded at
the earliest convenience, Special Assistant for Legislative Matters
Tony Otto concluded.
