Falcam Informs Other Leaders to FSM Games in Kosrae

On June 27, 1997, FSM Vice President Leo A. Falcam informed
President Imata Kabua of the Republic of the Marshall Islands,
President Kuniwo Nakamura of the republic of Palau, Governor Froilain
C. Tenorio of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and
Governor Carl T. Gutierrez of Guam that the Second FSM games will be
held on Kosrae from July 15th to the 25, 1997.

“The FSM National Government and the host State of Kosrae will be
pleased to welcome your leaders and citizens who may wish to observe
the FSM Games,” Vice President Falcam said, and adding that, “the
State of Kosrae has been busily preparing venues and organizing
sports committees.”

Close to 1000 athletes from yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei and Kosrae will be
participating in sports including baseball, basketball, canoe racing,
spear fishing, softball, swimming, table tennis, volleyball, track
and field, weighlifting and Micronesia All-Around. The games will
unite the youth of the FSM through competitive sports. “I am
confident the FSM games will be a great success,” Vice President
Falcam said.
