FSM establishes Diplomatic Relations with Ireland
Federated States of Micronesia establishes Diplomatic Relations with IrelandNew York (FSM Permanent Mission to the UN): October 27, 2004 – Apart from the signing of the Joint Communiqué, the two Ambassadors also discussed issues of mutual interest to their countries, including access to Ireland’s expertise in the fields of fisheries, tourism and information technology (IT) – a field in which Ireland is a recognized world leader. Ambassador Ryan expressed the hope that when traveling to Europe, FSM experts in such fields would include on their itineraries visits to Ireland to meet with their counterparts.
