FSM NED Transmits March 6, 2007 General Election TimetablePalikir, POHNPEI (FSM Information Service): October 17, 2006 – The timetable is based on the Revised National Election Act of 2005; and is slated as follows: November 6, 2006: open for request of absentee ballet and closing for filling for nomination petition. January 2, 2007: Last day to appoint various Boards and Tabulating Committee members. January 5, 2007: substitute candidate may be nominated; and designation of Special Polling places. January 10, 2007: the NED shall print specimen ballots. January 15, 2007: Printing of Official Ballets January 25, 2007: close for request of absentee ballet.
March 5, 2007: close request of absentee for travelers. February 14, 2007: NED shall prepare signature lists February 17, 2007: open for written request for voting at another polling place and closes seven days before election. February 28, 2007: posting of Signature List of Special Polling Places and posting of Signature List for Guam and Honolulu. March 6, 2007: Election Day.
