Governor of Yap Allottee for Coconut Treeplanting Project

PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): September 23,
1997 – FSM President Jacob Nena, on October 19, 1997, designated
the Governor of the State of Yap as allottee of $75,000 earmarked for
Yap copra Treeplanting, and cultural and agricultural projects,
according to his letter to FSM Director of Budget.

The $75,000 was one of the items in the $1,411,447 appropriation
under Public Law No. 10-23, for Development Budget. $1,111,447 of the
total was from the Compact capital account while the balance of
$28,000 was from locally raised revenues. The law provides no money
for business development loan fund inspite of its title of
development budget.

FSM President is the allottee of all funds appropriated, but he
may designate a sub-allottee and he has designated Yap Governor as
allottee in this particular instance.
