Nena Informed Governor the Upcoming Forum

PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): December 4,
1997 – President Jacob Nena, on December 1st, informed Pohnpei
Governor Del Pangelinan that the FSM is hosting the South Pacific
Forum Meeting this year in Pohnpei.

In preparation, he has formed an organizing committee and is
requesting Pangelinan to appoint a representative from Pohnpei to sit
on the committee.

The Vice President has been designated chairman of the organizing
committee whose membership are at the cabinet level.

Nena requested Pangelinan to inform the Department of External
Affairs of his state’s representative so that work can begin, accordingly.
