New Guidebook Assists Travelers to Kosrae State
New guidebook assists travelers to Kosrae StatePALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): January 2000 – The Kosrae Tourism Office has produced its first a travel guidebook for exploring the island of Kosrae, according to a press release from the Kosrae Tourism Office. Kosrae: A Travel Planner gives travelers information “singularly unique and exciting destination” about the island in a well-organized layout, according to the release. The Department of Commerce and Industry Tourism Office spearheaded the project with funds appropriated from the FSM Congress in an effort to help visitors from Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas as well as from elsewhere. The Kosrae Visitors Association, representing the private sectors and of Kosrae and Micronesia Travelers, the book’s publisher supported the production of the book.
