President Mori to visit Guam for medical check-up
President Mori to visit Guam for medical check-upPALIKIR, Pohnpei (Dept. of Foreign Affairs): July 30, 2008 – While on Weno for his visit to the Mortlocks, President Emanuel Mori visited the Chuuk State Hospital for examination after experiencing discomfort due to stomach pains and fever. Under the doctor’s advice, he was released for rest and further monitoring. The President visited and departed the hospital under his own power. A thorough diagnosis of the President’s medical condition was not possible at the Chuuk hospital due to the absence of necessary medical facilities and equipment. President Mori has therefore been scheduled to depart for Guam Thursday where he will undergo a more thorough medical assessment. The United States Embassy in Kolonia, the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Health and Social Affairs are working together to coordinate the visit by the President. If you have any questions or need clarification, please contact the Chief of Staff to the President at telephone number (691) 320-2228 or at kmida@mail.fm.
