President Mori Transmits More Nominations to the 15th Congress of the FSMPalikir, POHNPEI (FSM Information Services): February 6, 2008 – On the opening day of Congress FSM President Emanuel Mori submitted to Speaker Isaac Figir eleven nominations for advice and consent. The President requested favorable consideration of the following nominees: Mr. Francis Itimai as the Secretary of the Department of Transportation, Communications, and Infrastructure; Mr. Casiano Shoniber as the Secretary of the Department of Education; Mr. Kangichy Welle as National Government representative on the Board of Regents of the College of Micronesia-FSM; Mr. Gideon Kikku as the National Election Commissioner for the State of Chuuk; Mr. Rensley Sigrah as National Government representative on the NORMA Board of Directors; Mr. Rufin Micky as Chuuk State’s representative on the NORMA Board of Directors; Mr. Tos Nakayama as National Government representative on the Petroleum Corporation Board of Directors; Mr. Yalmer Helgenberger representing the Private Sector on the Petroleum Corporation Board of Directors; Mr. Redley Killion also representing the Private Sector on the Petroleum Corporation Board of Directors; Mr. Alexander Narruhn as a member of the FSM Banking Board; and Mr. Arthy G. Nena as National Government representative on the MiCare Board. President Mori said that further nominations for the remaining boards and committees will be submitted shortly after he receives confirmation from the states for their representatives.
