Proposed Bill for $9 Million worth of Compact Infrastructure Sector Grant Transmitted to Congress

Palikir, Pohnpei (FSM Information Services): February 12, 2010 – The Executive Branch has transmitted a proposed bill to the 16^th FSM Congress to appropriate the sum of $9,250,000 out of fiscal year 2010’s amended Compact Infrastructure Sector Grant. The funding within the bill is for professional design services, preparation of procurement tenders, and development of preliminary engineering reports for projects submitted by the FSM and subsequently approved by the Joint Economic Management Committee at the September 2009 Regular Meeting. The projects listed specifically under the grant are as follows:
