On June 23, 2026 at the United Nations Headquarters, the Federated States of Micronesia marked the 2026 commemoration of the United Nations Charter Signing by participating in a special symbolic initiative reaffirming commitment to multilateralism and the Charter principles.

Micronesia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Jeem Lippwe, joined with other Member States’ Permanent Representatives in the symbolic signing of the UN80 Charter, a renewed expression of collective dedication to the purposes and principles that have guided the United Nations since 1945. For Micronesia, its signing underscores the nation’s continued support for the sovereign equality of all States, the peaceful resolution of disputes, and the promotion of sustainable development and human rights.

Micronesia reaffirms that the United Nations remains indispensable in addressing today’s global challenges and reiterates its commitment to strengthening multilateral cooperation for a more peaceful, just, and sustainable future.
